Dead Space 2 will 'keep players guessing'
Dead Space 2 has already had a good showing over the past month or so with some really impressive gameplay footage coming out of the woodwork.
PSM3 asked executive producer Steve Papoutsis whether he thinks the Dead Space team will be able to keep building on impressive levels.
"Our goal is to keep players on their toes. We want each chapter to feel unique," said Papoutsis.
"Part of that is how we will keep the players guessing and we'll set up some good scares."
In fact, Visceral is more than aware that Dead Space 2 has to up the ante in general if it's going to live up to its predecessor:
"It's a fine line you have to tread when attempting a sequel," Papoutsis continued.
"We want to remain true to what folks enjoyed in the first game but we also need to evolve so people feel that Dead Space 2 is a good investment."
